Origins of Andisa Capital

In 1998 the Treasury Solutions business was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Standard Bank Group (SBG). At the time the business was known as SRTMS - Standard Risk and Treasury Management Services (Pty) Ltd. Since inception, the business has operated independently from Standard Bank, transacting with all major South African Banks as well as international banks on behalf of our clients.

In August 2003, a partnership between a broad-based black empowerment consortium and the Standard Bank Group Limited came into being to create an independent and diversified financial services company – Andisa Capital. Standard Bank was a 49% shareholder and the balance of 51% held by a BEE Consortium. At inception the business consisted of Andisa Treasury Solutions, formed by old SRTMS, and Andisa Securities, formed by old Standard Bank Securities, at the time. Andisa Securities was sold back to Standard Bank in 2005.
